| I've seen her twice on stage, Master Class and Circe and Bravo. Both times she was superb. Offstage I can't account for how difficult she may be. But if she wants to admit to her age, there are some roles for her: The Milk Train Doesn't Stop Here Anymore, A Coffin in Egypt. They are showcase roles, worthy of an actress of her talents. They could only be done by MTC or the The Roundabout since there is no great commercial muscle in either piece, or, alas, in Faye Dunaway at this point. But if, past 75, she wants to prove she's still got, there are roles. Frankly, she's always been twice as interesting as Jane Fonda to me. WHY does Fonda work all the time? Good behavior? |
