In the 1970s, I read an unauthorized biography about Barbra Streisand. It stated that she was offered to play Josephine in a musical about Napoleon and Josephine, with Anthony Newley as Napoleon. It stated the project fell apart when Streisand would only agree to a very limited run.
Anybody else heard anything like this, or was the author of the book smoking crack?
