| Is it just me, but I can't watch Othello murder his white wife on stage any more for drama's/entertainment's sake. It creeps me out, so I avoid this play. The stereotype of the murderously jealous black man really needs to be given a rest, maybe for another hundred years or so, until we work out the racial insanity that we are still living through. Or maybe just cut the murder scene. I don't know. | |
