I saw the original production with Julia twice and once with Franchise. I loved them both.
The staging was so inventive and all the women were wonderful.
It was the first time I heard Karen Akers and she was stunning singing Be on Your Own. I loved hearing Unusual Way for the first time.
That season of Nine and Dreamgirls was so special. There should have been a tie for best musical. |
