I was there last night as well. First, I thoroughly enjoyed the production even though the cuts seemed to minimize the passion between the two leads.
My seat was in the front row of the 400 section, and I would recommend sitting in either the 100 or 300 section. There will always be some backs and restricted view in theatre in the round, but visual obstructions seemed more frequent from my vantage point. Also, I don't know if it's because I was seated under the orchestra deck, but the sound was less than ideal. There was a canned quality to the singing even though the performers were often directly in front of me.
That said, if it's possible to get a decent ticket before the show closes, I would very much like to see it again. |
