| This is in regard to Kerstin Anderson becoming the Alternate for Lauren Ambrose at the Sunday matinees of MFL starting next Sunday. Kerstin is currently in the ensemble and is one of the two Eliza understudies. Now that she is the Alternate will she still be performing in the ensemble for the other seven shows each week? Will Kerstin have an Understudy? Will there be another Understudy now that Kerstin is an Alternate? I don't know these things. My first encounter with the term 'Alternate' in a theatrical context was when I saw Evita in San Francisco in its pre-Broadway run - I thought it was the same as an Understudy. Mandy Patinkin was in but we had the Alternate for Patti LuPone. |
