One thing summertheater does have correct which has been overlooked by the concentration on their seemingly ridiculous ongoing battle with Playwrights Horizons is that ticket sales for Comfort Women do indeed seem to be be very slow as compared to "Be More Chill." A question for someone with knowledge of producing or of ticket sales, is this usual three weeks before opening for a show which has had previous engagements? Is it a lack of preopening publicity? When does the publicity rush usually come for a show like this. Would a show such as this be able to count on sales closer to opening? Will they be able to get by on day of performance sales? Has anyone seen the show previously? Do they recommend it?
