I hadn't heard of the show until this thread, so I would say that their marketing and publicity person/team isn't doing a good job of getting the word out. And even after reading this thread, I'm not incline to look into it further, because I don't know if I want to sit through a musical about comfort women. There are so many ways that they could get the material wrong and very few to get it right. And even if they do get it right, its going to be a very depressing show. I'm sure many of us will be offered comps, and I still might not go, because of the subject matter.
So I would say it's a tough sell, but also they aren't selling it very well. |
