| Thank you for your response. I agree that it may be a tough sell but there are a couple angles to sell it from. first of all there is the sex trafficking angle currently in the news and next of course there is the Korea/Japan relations angle. Of course politically this may be a bad time to put Japan in a bad light in the liberal New York theatergoing community but I have no idea what kind of approach to the Japanese the show actually takes. I do believe in the original production they did use Japanese actors (as well as Korean actresses to portray the title roles) I do hope the show is good, well done and gets some support because right now, I believe Asians are underrepresented in the theater community. |
