| President Clinton went to see Chicago along with Hillary on a Saturday night during the summer of 1997, just after Chelsea graduated high school. I know because I was there and managed to engage him in briefly conversation during intermission. I mentioned that we had something in common and he asked me what that was. I replied that both our daughters would be starting college that fall. He asked where, and I said “Smith” and which point he said, “Hillary, his daughter’s starting Smith” as it was a rival of Hillary’s alma mater Wellesley. He the said, “I hope you’re looking forward to it more than I am”. I’ll never forget this experience. |
