One thing that I noticed yesterday was that Bernadette seemed to sing some weird melody in her line in Put On Your Sunday Clothes. It seemed like she started singing lower than typical, and then it didn't seem to follow the melody for that line when others sing it in the number. Is that the way that line is usually sung?
I thought she was great in the part. Very warm presence, which is very different from her talented (but different) predecessors. |
