It's a cool choice. Since we have Kuhn immortalized on disc and in our memories doing Days, nice to have her cover another song from the show. And IMHO, Days is not the sort of iconic number that you expect a performer to do, in the same way you might always want to hear Someone Else's Story. Judy similarly covered Happiness, the song she didn't get to sing in Passion. Maybe it's time for her to work up On My Own? HAHA.
Julia Murney is fond of doing Life of the Party even though it was Idina's song in the show. Karen Akers is fond of covering Unusual Way despite her two stunning (but more plot specific) solos in Nine. I am sure there are other examples. |
