my take: this role is too capacious for someone with limited stage experience (as well as no musical experience-all the comedy and drama expressed through-while singing).
Ambrose would have been better to test the waters with something like the Countess in Night Music or maybe one of the Company Crazy Girls.
with that in mind, there should have been a Sunday alternate from the beginning.
if Ambrose family was such a priority, why did she accept such a time and effort intense assignment.
(for those who think this displays a sour side of Rigg, remember her graciousness to cabman reported a few weeks ago) |
