As was the case with the most recent Roundabout revival, in my opinion. I liked many things about that production, other aspects of it not so much. But for whatever unfortunate reason(s), the last scene -- Georg's revelation to Amalia, their first kiss and embrace -- had almost no emotional effect on me. And I didn't think that was possible. |
