| Liza as Evita with Ken Russell directing actually got pretty far in the development stages. There are photos of her touring Buenos Aires to research the role. It was supposed to be very far out (think what Russell did with Tommy) and almost a surreal take on the story. I think they were even at one point going to make it a film within a film type of thing (sort of like The French Lieutenant's Woman) and have it be the struggles of an actress trying to make an Evita film. |
