Does anyone on this thread have Google?
The film has an announced director - the same director attached for several years at this point. Jon M. Chu (“Step Up,” “Crazy Rich Asians”) will direct.
I, for one, am confused by the nay-saying around this film. “Heights” has an incredibly accessible book and score, is riding high on Lin’s success, and has a very complete and satisfying story (comparisons to “Hair” confound me). Not to mention the complete explosion of “Heights” being done regionally and in schools.
This won lots of awards ... remember? It had a healthy run and tour and UK run ... remember? |
