| July 8th, 1980 - Twenty years after he was crowned King Arthur to Julie Andrews' Guenevere, Richard Burton takes on the role once more in a revival of CAMELOT. The musical by Alan Jay Lerner & Frederick Loewe opens tonight at Lincoln Center's New York State Theatre for a run of 56 performances, and co-stars Christine Ebersole as the Lady to Burton's King, with Richard Muenz as her Lancelot Du Lac. Directed by Frank Dunlop and choreographed by Buddy Schwab, the cast also includes Paxton Whitehead and Robert Fox. |
