depends. If it has to do with off stage conduct that can be proven, it is easy. If it has to do with an artistic assessment, it's not easy.
There are a lot of questions here that have not been answered (and in saying that I am not addressing anyone's "version" of what went down). This is the type of situation in which you would expect the producer and GM to be involved, and you would also expect them to call in their lawyer. Directors do not fire people or discipline employees. And certainly music directors don't. A substantive supervisor evaluates and then takes his or her conclusion to management.
All of this is horrible, but I have a feeling the "news" is not done. |
