The example you cited is not comparable. There is a long history of protest against the deportation of undocumented immigrants and protests against ICE. The protest that arose around this specific deportation happened within a week of the arrest, but the knowledge that ICE was deporting undocumented immigrants did not appear out of the blue.
Do you have another example? Can you see the difference between these situations?
My question is why isn't the Times running with this? They essentially created the controversy that you referred to last summer, but they're staying mum on this one. |
