| So very excited to have a ticket for "Carmen Jones" this weekend - first time at CSC. Hoping to grab a bite nearby beforehand. Can anyone recommend some nice/moderately priced restaurants in the area? Thanks! | |

| Last year we enjoyed Feast on 2nd, which i recall was just around the corner, if I recall. Very good. Not too expensive. Takes reservations. | |

| A few blocks farther away, but I like LAUT, a Malaysian restaurant at 15 East 17th Street (between Broadway and Fifth Ave). A nice change from the usual Chinese/Thai. | |

| Pennyfarthing, 103 Third Ave. at 13th Street, about a five minute walk from CSC. It does get very loud at happy hour/pre-theater, but they have a rear section somewhat removed from the bar, and also some outdoor seating. | |

| Thank you! This is where my group went and we were all very happy with our meals :) Thanks to all for the other recommendations- absolutely loved Carmen Jones so I'm hoping to catch it at least one more time during its run, giving me the possibility to check out some of these other places! |

| A lovely little French restaurant, Le Midi, at 11 East 13th. Also, an excellent burger place, Five Napkin Burgers, at 150 East 14th. Both reasonably priced and a couple of blocks from CSC. |

| I find the Smith too noisy. There are a bunch of places on University Place if you don't mind walking a few blocks. Some are pricier than others. There's a ramen place, Nanoosh, Saigon Market, two Italian places, a Greek restaurant, a very good but expensive sushi restaurant Japonica, and more. | |
