I find the Smith too noisy. There are a bunch of places on University Place if you don't mind walking a few blocks. Some are pricier than others. There's a ramen place, Nanoosh, Saigon Market, two Italian places, a Greek restaurant, a very good but expensive sushi restaurant Japonica, and more.
