| Nothing against the valuable progress of the MeToo movement, and the potential uncovering of further sexual misbehavior... but why isn’t Michael Paulson or someone else at The NY Times on this beat and covering this story? These don’t seem like random accusations from faceless people, nor are they defamatory if they can be backed up factually as seems to be the case with nearly all I’ve been reading here. At bare minimum it’s a series of remarkable and unfortunate miscommunications and coincidences that have led to multiple tragedies... which seems like a news story that would be worth addressing by more prominent venues. This blog has been doing more valuable reporting on this story than any major media outlets. And regardless of the final outcome - whether the behavior of the Chicago production has been merely casually insensitive or criminally negligent - it’s shameful that this news isn’t being more widely reported and investigated. |

| Have been writing this since 1st reading this story a week ago...please may this begin a movement to stop this kind of behavior as well. Here's hoping Ronan Farrow or a TIMES writer are carefully gathering information! | |

| Brian Spitulnik is a Broadway guy who knows how to put sentences together, and he contributed a column to Dave Eggers' literary journal McSweeney's in 2012. One of his pieces was about the life, misery, and death of Mark Anthony Taylor, who's referenced in the latest entry of the current CHICAGO blog. link below. - GMB |

| Thanks, GrumpyMorningBoy. Brian Spitulnik's written a well-observed piece about the ups and downs of a dancer's life on Broadway. In painstaking and unsparing detail, Spitulnik captures the glamour and the grind, and the excitement and the exhaustion of it all. Spitulnik began as a swing in June 2007, and the ''Chicago'' website continues to list him as a swing in the current Broadway cast. |
