Nothing against the valuable progress of the MeToo movement, and the potential uncovering of further sexual misbehavior...
but why isn’t Michael Paulson or someone else at The NY Times on this beat and covering this story?
These don’t seem like random accusations from faceless people, nor are they defamatory if they can be backed up factually as seems to be the case with nearly all I’ve been reading here.
At bare minimum it’s a series of remarkable and unfortunate miscommunications and coincidences that have led to multiple tragedies...
which seems like a news story that would be worth addressing by more prominent venues.
This blog has been doing more valuable reporting on this story than any major media outlets. And regardless of the final outcome - whether the behavior of the Chicago production has been merely casually insensitive or criminally negligent - it’s shameful that this news isn’t being more widely reported and investigated. |
