I reviewed a regional production of MAMMA MIA recently -- my first time seeing the show, actually. At one point, Donna mentions that her mother was a traditional American housewife who essentially disowned her when she became pregnant with Sophie, and who disapproves of her bohemian lifestyle.
From the trailer for MAMMA MIA: HERE I GO AGAIN, it seems like Donna's mother is some kind of glamorous millionaire with access to a private jet and a couture wardrobe. Okay.
And, of course, Cher is only three years older than Meryl Streep. |
