and sorry you never experienced such ecstasy in the theater!
I'm a musical director and pit musician in regional theatre. I experience such ecstasy very often, as I'm always thrilled to have a place to share and create my art and to collaborate with other wonderful performers. Yes, I get tired as much as any performer does, but it is always a joy and a privilege to get to perform. That's my form of ecstacy, and it happens all the time.
I didn't call anyone idiotic. (You did.)
