I saw the show Thursday and Friday. For part 2, when the lights went down, the applause was a roar like we were seeing a rock concert. When the actors had their final scenes, again a roar of applause. It was exciting to be in an audience that seemed to appreciate the effort the cast was putting into these performances. Lines for the bathroom went quickly. Layout of the mens room is just plain dumb.

Today's matinee audience was similarly very familiar with the play; the most well known laugh lines didn't get huge laughs -- it seemed that many in the audience had seen the show before -- and each of the actors got major entrance and exit applause. Funny enough, the part of the house which seemed most unfamiliar were the folks sitting right in the center of the orchestra. The most expensive seats. It was kinda funny how easily you could hear their reaction to parts of the play that the rest of us already knew well. - GMB
