| Very well done. Brecht is difficult to watch (to understand), but if you're familiar with his work and/or want to see what the praise is about -- this is a good place to go. There's no annotation of where the skit or song comes from (or how it fit into the play or poem or essay or interview) -- some left (no intermission, 1 3/4 hours). I like Brecht and have seen a half dozen of his plays (some more than once) and even had to study Mother Courage in German at NYU. So I can't imagine how a naive might find it, but my wife (who saw Anne Bancroft's MC) liked the show, too. 3 of the four major actors were terrific. The 4th, OK. |
