| Whenever I go to the 9th/10th Ave theaters, I'll either take the M42 bus, walk along 43rd (if it's the Westside Theater), walk quickly, and/or walk on the north side of 42nd from 8th to 8th midblock, use the midblock traffic light, then use the south side of 42nd from 8th midblock to 9th. That avoids the Port Authority (south side) from 8th to 8th midblock, and the homeless shelter (north side) from 8th midblock to 9th. I've been aggressively bumped far too many times in the past couple of years; it's a real problem these days. Luckily for the theaters east of 8th Avenue (such as Broadway theaters) I can avoid it. It's a shame these off-Broadway theaters don't demand the city clean up the aggressive harassment on 42nd Street that target theatergoers and anyone else passing through. |
