| Debbie Reynolds was great. She took time with fans, she understood the value of that. I asked her to write something very specific on a photo for a friend; she asked me what it meant and then went ahead and wrote it. She did mention in her later years that it was harder and harder to pull herself together and go out to events, but she did it and she never looked less than 100%. I also remember at a Thanksgiving night performance of "Irene" she did a little curtain speech thanking the audience for coming out that night. Definitely old school studio training at its best. |
