Intermission in Judy Garland A STAR IS BORN
Posted by: RobertC (robertcollier930@gmail.com) 06:22 pm EDT 07/18/18

Hello,

I saw the restored (complete with stills) version of the Judy Garland A Star is Born in the theatre about 1983. At that time, the film had an intermission right after Norman and Esther's wedding.

I recently saw the restored version on FilmStruck (an excellent streaming site devoted to classic movies). In that version, the intermission comes right after "Born in a Trunk."

Anybody knows why the intermission was shifted? Is my memory faulty?

Thanks,

Rob
