I love Ms Benanti, and look forward to revisiting MFL and seeing her in the show. That said - it's curious that they don't seem interested in an age appropriate actress in the role. Alan jay Lerner, in the libretto, describes Eliza thus "She is perhaps eighteen, perhaps twenty, hardly older'. A young woman, early in life. Thats part of the story.
