| I bring up Julie Andrews' coverage of this role's challenges, but with trepidation since using her memoir as a source has gotten me in fact-check trouble (see the "Camelot" thread). Andrews' harrowing account of the rigors and strain, on B'way and then again in London -- and yeah, she missed performances -- makes a case for singing only 7. Surely with the book scenes it's as challenging vocally as Eva Peron, and she must only sing "Evita" six times. |
