Yes. The NASHVILLE book, with a lot of interviews, gives a sense of strife between Harris and Altman. That she was too improvisational or constantly altering to suit him. I think Tomlin speaks of that, siding more with the actress than the director.
Also...It is one of those films that I presume had left oodles of storylines on the cutting room floor, including stuff about the Harris Albuquerque character. |
