You're right, usually not (much) will be "restaged", but the difference in the choices that Ambrose and her alternate make are considerable, up to and including blocking and stage business.
Ambrose and Benanti will be night and day - very different performances, and I'm sure that Sher will be very on hands with the switchover. From what I know of Benanti, she will put her stamp on this role, in much the same way as Ms Mazzie did in THE KING AND I, or Reba did in ANNIE GET YOUR GUN. |
