| I so wish Liza had done "Cinderella Liberty". I believe her film career, while rocky, is nothing to sneeze at. But "Cinderella Liberty" got an Oscar nomination for Marsha Mason (well-deserved), and I think it would have done the same for Liza. She would have had two solid hits to withstand the disappointing box office of "Lucky Lady" (a film I greatly enjoy), the scandalous mauling by Sam Arkoff of "A Matter of Time," and the indifference (then) towards the magnificent "New York, New York." She probably would have made more movies, between 1977-1981 and 1981-1988. |
