| I think that billing is not a very reliable means of determining lead versus featured. There is a thread about this matter for the 1960 Broadway season if you scroll down a few days. Over the years actors in Tony-winning/nominated roles have been billed over the title, on the left or on the right, by under the title starring billing or under the title with billing, in a box or not in a box, and undoubtedly by innumerable other variations. IMO the best way to determine lead or featured is simply by using common sense. |
