I heard from someone that the reason "Moulin Rouge" didn't get the Winter Garden was because it was promised to "Beetlejuice". This source is a couple generations removed from the origin of this information, so I don't know how reliable it will prove to be.
Would this "Love Never Dies" essentially be a glorified stop on the tour? A limited, high-profile run that gives Sir Andrew his wish without putting any real commercial pressure on the piece? |
