Having toured with the show in the early 80s (and two subsequent productions) i recall the following that was rumored to have been from Simon:

Shelia: How many people do you want?
Zach: Four and four.
Judy: Forty -four?
Bebe: No. Four and four. ( to Judy)
Zach: Four boys. Four girls.
Sheila: Need any women?

Typical rhythm and punchline of a Simon script!
