Is it really that bad? IMHO....its worse than bad. When I think of truly horrible, terrible, puke inducing, cringe worthy, films that should never have been released....A CHORUS LINE...is at the top of the list. And...they had so much to work with! The "changes" to score, story etc, was a useless waste of time.

Attenborough was a horrific choice. But, I don't think it should have been Fosse either (as a poster suggested). It should have been Michael Bennett. If you watch the 1976 (?) Tony Awards, A Chorus Line was the opening and closing of the show. You can see hints of what Bennett would have done with this film.
