| That is a thought that the two of us have discussed....even though the movie was a bomb it was a notable film because of its unique but somewhat dated subject matter. Is it harder for two unknowns in the theater world to get attention for a musical that is not based on some source material? I guess the best example I can think of would be the movie Smile that was turned into a musical. Every article I remember reading mentioned the source material....would it have been as interesting if it were just a musical about a beauty contest (and of course I know that the musical was considered a failure. |
