I'm also inclined to not really count any theatre built or owned by someone who names the theatre for himself, but, yes, I suppose they do still count.
Hayes and Lunt and Fontanne all played in the theatres named for them — with Hayes, I mean the first one, of course.
Lunt and Fontanne opened the greatly renovated and renamed (from The Globe) Lunt-Fontanne in 1958 with The Visit. In 1930, the Globe had became a movie theatre, and it returned to legit with The Visit.
