I saw this production and enjoyed it as well. The cast was very, very good.
Fully agree about the band sounding fantastic and the singing being first rate. I love the EVITA score and look forward to any chance to hear it performed professionally.
I didn't think the director's framing device/conceit was fully successful - but kudos to him for trying something conceptually different with what is now very familiar material. |
