I think this speaks as much to the gentrification/NYUification of the Village as it does to the internet, demise of print media etc. .... There is still a (relatively) vibrant arts scene downtown (the new musical I'm in at TNC was sold out last nite, for example), but the Voice as an Arts resource will surely be sorely missed.....
