If you read her book, Free FIre Zone, you would realize that Ms. Rebeck has constantly been under attack from small minded people with limited imagination who do not understand the deep reality that informs her work.
She was not deliberately rude to you. She was merely protecting herself against the insulting attention she expected from you (since that seems to be most of what she gets...according to the book). |
