| Robert Osborne was a great guy, but he sure said wrong stuff sometimes, as have other TCM hosts. I would guess that the TCM writing staff has been at least partly responsible. | |

| A friend of mine who knew him well also told me he was a great guy. I think his knowledge about movies was pretty strong, but when he got into talking about the stage origin of various films, he frequently made errors that made me shake my head. Nevertheless, I liked the job he did on TCM -- he was a fine interviewer. | |

| Yeah, I really liked him, too, but there were times when I wished I could have contacted him to say, nicely, "Hey, the next time that movie's shown, you may want to adjust what you said a bit." Nowadays the hosts even got some basic movie stuff wrong. | |
