It's a bit disturbing to read that he hadn't already donated his manuscripts to NYPL. I just hope that Elaine Joyce will give drafts and unpublished material to NYPL. I, for one, would love to be able the discarded third act (and the extra third-act scene) of The Odd Couple, the original third act of The Gingerbread Lady, the original second act of Last of the Red Hot Lovers, and Actors and Actresses, which disappeared forever after a run at the Hartman, despite getting at least one favorable review that made it sound rather interesting. Also, the discarded Plaza Suite playlet.

Yes, although clearly with a lot of transformation as it seems the playlet was virtually a monologue for George C. Scott.
