I don't personally care about any actor's sexuality, or private life in general for that matter. I'm more interested in their work. But I understand that there are those who are obsessed with celebrity lives and that their sexuality can (sadly) affect their careers. Lucas is one of the main reasons I eagerly purchased a ticket to THE WAVERLY GALLERY; I think he's one of the very best young actors working today.

The only reason gays have any rights are because people came out of the closet. So it matters. Being a movie star who comes out of the closet helps the cause and sends a message to young men in the closet, especially young actors, that it is okay for them to be themselves. Staying in the closet is selfish. In my opinion.
