Marilu Henner, who's currently in ''Gettin' the Band Back Together,'' also played Reynolds' wife on ''Evening Shade.''
Reynolds accepted his first and only Emmy in 1991 with his customary, self-deprecating humor and self-effacing style.
He also had to follow Kirstie Alley's Emmy win where she thanked her husband, Parker Stevenson, for giving her ''the big one.''
Henner tweeted yesterday: ''Noooo! Not Burt Reynolds! He was the most generous, talented, special man, co-star & friend EVER! I loved him so much & was lucky to work w/him 5 times. So many great memories!'' |
