In yesterday's New York Times, there was an article, with many photographs, of all the vacant store fronts all over NYC. Although the center of Times Square remains one of the few highly desirable locations for retail, I am still confused why it was decided to raise the Palace theater in order to place a large retail space at ground level.
Just thinking about the complex engineering task, and the millions it will cost makes my teeth hurt! |
