Saw her in "Baby" and played that album much when it came out. I used to say that her rendition of "The Story Goes On" was a model of simplicity and even restraint, trusting the song to do its eloquent work.
She also made a fine Grizabella, and again, while letting her remarkable voice loose as is required, she eschewed excess.
